Certified VBAC Doula
Why VBAC Certification Matters for My Clients
I’m always learning, growing, and working to stay current, for myself and for my clients. Knowledge is power, and when I can combine continued education with my passion and experience supporting VBAC families, it’s a true win-win.
VBAC stands for Vaginal Birth After Cesarean and for many families, it’s not only possible, but often the safer option compared to a repeat cesarean.
As a doula in Maryland, this VBAC-focused certification feels more important now than ever. It reinforces something I’ve always believed: your choices and autonomy in birth matter deeply. Families today are researching, asking questions, and seeking evidence-based care. They want options, informed consent, and providers who respect their goals.
The data continues to support VBAC. For most people planning a VBAC, there is a 70–80% chance of success. Those are incredible odds. And when you’re aligned with supportive providers, preparing intentionally, and listening to your body, those chances can be even higher.
Unfortunately, not all providers feel hopeful about VBAC. Some may quietly (or openly) steer families toward a repeat cesarean without fully discussing alternatives.
That’s where I come in.
As your VBAC doula, I help you find providers who align with your goals and respect your autonomy. Together, we’ll explore your birth preferences, discuss evidence-based strategies, and create a plan that reflects your needs and concerns.
We often talk about:
Laboring at home as long as possible
Avoiding unnecessary inductions
Exploring pain management options beyond an epidural
Preparing mentally and physically for a VBAC
And so much more
I didn’t need a certification to care deeply about birth outcomes or to support VBAC families with my whole heart. But having additional tools, resources, knowledge, and specialized training allows me to be an even better doula for you and for that, I’m incredibly grateful.
I would love to talk with you about your VBAC goals and how we can work together to support your birth experience.

Be well.
